It’s difficult to put into words what this man of God has meant to me. Not only was he a spiritual giant he was a mentor and dear friend. I first met Francis when I was on staff at a church here in Bakersfield, CA. I was in the early stages of learning about the healing ministry and had recently established what became Wholeness Ministries. My job was to drive him around and make sure he was at the places he needed to be.

About a month after our initial meeting he called me and asked if I would like to join him on a 30-day trip to England and N.Ireland. That trip further cemented our friendship together and was the start of a lifelong friendship. Francis took me under his wing and I soon became his Timothy. After this first trip others followed along with the week-long training that he established at Christian Healing Ministries in Jacksonville. Fl. These Emerging Leaders In Healing conferences were profound in their impact on all of us who were privileged to be a part of. Soon Francis asked if I would consider joining his advisory team. Of course, I said yes, and we began to meet once a year with him and Judith to pray for them and help them in decisions they were facing in the ministry.

When I would go back to Jacksonville for one of these weeks of training I remember with great joy the many times we sat together over breakfast and just talked. Francis was always positive and encouraging to everyone he talked to or prayed for.

Francis loved to go bird watching so occasionally I would accompany him for an afternoon of driving around looking for specific birds. When he would spot one, with excitement he would tell me all about this particular bird. Now I am not a fan of bird watching and even though it was a hobby of his I found it boring. To me the fun was being with Francis, watching him and his excitement, knowing he was having a great time.
